Doubledealer - Demo 2009

I know its kinda tacky posting my own band's demo but... here it is anyway. If you get down with nyhc but love ringworm and other metal influenced hardcore bands than I think you'll dig this.

Burdens - Demo

Burdens are a fairly new metallic hardcore band hailing from the Chester/Philly/Doylestown area. If you take Cursed, old Converge, and mix in a good degree of Banner styled dark hardcore you get Burdens. If you're pissed off at the world, listen to this demo. If you're not pissed off at the world, listen to this demo and get a fucking clue.

Psyched To Die - Demo 2008

Psyched To Die is a fairly new hardcore punk band from New Jersey with members from bands such as The Ergs, Fast Times, and Splitting Headache. I've had the opportunity to see them live and they put on one hell of an energetic show. There's definite Black Flag influence in their music which all I needed to fall in love. They recently had a 7" released on Firestarter Records so you should rush out and buy 12.

Judge - Demo (1988)

Judge. Need I say more?

Naysayer - My Own Demons Drag Me Down Everyday

Naysayer is the of the newest additions to Richmond's fine stable of hardcore. I first saw this band at the "Stay Cold" record release last spring and was immediately hooked. Their 2007 demo "My Own Demons Drag Me Down Everyday" is just as heavy as it's title makes it seem. The band recently released a new 7" on Reaper Records, entitled "No Remorse." Pick it up, mosh till the record skips.

2 E - Town Concrete Demos

I've never really been a fan of this band, but I have a friend who used to live in Jersey and is absolutely die hard about E -Town Concrete. He better fucking appreciate this...

Bad Seed - Demo 2008

This band currently has a ton of momentum behind them in the hardcore world. A big amount of that has to do with their 2008 demo. This is definitely one of the heavier demos of 2008. Their isn't much to say about this band that the demo won't say for me. Pick up their self titled 7" out on 6131, mosh, rest, repeat.

Agent Orange - Demo (1982)

Agent Orange is definitely one of my favorite punk bands from the '80s and Living in Darkness is also one of my all-time favorite records. I don't know too much about this demo except that it came out after the LP. Either way the songs are sick and the band is sick. Up the surf punx.

Trapped Under Ice - Demo 2007

I think everyone knew this was coming eventually so I'll just get it out of the way. There's no excuse to have not heard of this band in the last year or so (even the rock you live under gets wifi motherfucker). This demo is amazing and definitely worth the stupid amount of play I've gotten out of it. Unfortunately this is another schmuck-worthy post because this is definitely still in print and available at Flatspot Records. Check it out, buy it, it'll go great with your red TUI basketball jersey.

Layin' Waste Demo

Layin' Waste is a stupid heavy hardcore/metal band from Destroylestown PA. The vocalist is from A Life Once Lost and one of the guitarists is from Mother of Mercy... Questioning this band's heaviness at this point would just make you an asshole. Go see these guys on April 17th up in Doylestown for the War Pigs record release (Shipwreck is headlining). See track 8 for mosh.

Mind Piece - Demo 2007

Mind Piece is another heavy ass New York based hardcore band. It's hard to say, but this was probably my favorite demo from 2007 (and a lot of intense shit came out in 07). This band drives me crazy because they put out this amazing demo and then never really did much after that. Either way, this demo kills, download it, mosh in your bedroom.

Earth Crisis - Firestorm Demo (1993)

Two edge posts in a row, lets keep 'em coming. This is the Earth Crisis demo from 1993. It has some solid songs on there including the legendary "Firestorm." This band grows on me more and more each time I listen to them, despite the fact that the first EC record I purchased was Slither (I fucked up). Earth Crisis just released a brand new, amazing full length that I suggest you all go out and buy. Also they're on tour with one of my favorite bands in hardcore, Reign Supreme (coming to a city near you). Up the vegan straight edge mosh!

Sick Fix - Demo(lish)

Sick Fix is fucking sick. Fucking sick. Hands down they're one of the most pissed off current straight edge bands. This band includes members from Magrudergrind, Coke Bust, and Tradition Dies Here. If you're into Weekend Nachos, Coke Bust, or the first Harm's Way 7" than this is right up your alley. Check out their MySpace, they have a 7" up there for sale as well as some cool shirts. YOU FAILED, YOUR DEAD, I WIN!!!!!!!

Creeping Death - Demo 2009

Creeping Death is a somewhat new hardcore band hailing from the golden state. These guys sorta rose out of the ashes of the band What Life Is. Good demo, good dudes. Be on the lookout for more to come from this band.

Black Flag - Panic Demo (1978)

I'm going to start off by saying that Black flag is the be-all-end-all hardcore punk band (in my opinion). I'll stop myself before I reveal my true inner nerd, but this is a great demo. Long before the Rollins era this demo gives you a few interesting early tracks from the band. Hail Greg Ginn and Keith Morris!

Backtrack Demo '08

Backtrack is a fairly new hardcore band from Long Island NY. Their 2008 demo is probably one of my favorites from last year and was recently pressed on a 7" by Flatspot Records. Normally I wouldn't post something that's currently in print but I'm pretty confident that if you guys really dig this demo you'll want to pick up the 7". Enjoy!

Merauder Demo (1993)

Merauder, in my opinion, is one of the heaviest hardcore bands I've ever listened to. Check out their demo from 1993, its pretty awesome. If you like what you hear I posted a link to a merch page of theirs so you can pick up the lp and a shirt from Reaper Records.

First Post

First things first, I'm still pretty new at this so if the first few posts completely blow just give me the benefit of the doubt. I'm still getting my mediafire folders in order and will hopefully get some demos up before the end of the weekend. If you are interested at all in getting your band's demo on here just email me it with cover art and or a picture of your band and I'll post it when I get the opportunity. Hopefully this doesn't turn into an excessively time consuming debacle and we can all have some fun with this. Be seeing you soon. -thrush
